Explore the ¿ìè¶ÌÊÓƵ Virtual Museum

24th October 2024

Today sees the launch of the ¿ìè¶ÌÊÓƵ Collection Virtual Museum.

It is available to view at

The ¿ìè¶ÌÊÓƵ Collection is nationally important, but we have no physical space in which to display the artefacts, documents, artworks and books documenting the history of British Plastic Surgery.  Hence the “virtual” space we have created. It is arranged in themed Galleries, off corridors on two floors, designed to be viewed best on devices larger than a smartphone. Clicking in each space opens further spaces exploring different aspects of our story.

The galleries are incomplete. Most content is currently within the Art Gallery, ¿ìè¶ÌÊÓƵ and Sidcup rooms. We hope that you can see the direction of travel and that it will stimulate members wanting to contribute towards this organically growing project.  Hopefully it will expand into a significant resource through which both professionals and the public will discover fascinating insights into the true nature of our specialty.

Anyone can get involved, contributors being recognised at the bottom of any page they have had input to. We welcome any comments, suggestions and historical corrections. Interested contributors should contact the Hon. Curator at martin.coady@bapras.org.uk
